Brittany Mahomes is praising her husband Patrick Mahomes for his support during her recent Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photoshoot. The 28-year-old gave a shout out to husband Patrick, also 28, in a post on Friday, sharing her gratitude for the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s support in her first SI photoshoot, after she was unveiled as a 2024 Rookie on Thursday.
On her Instagram Story, Brittany posted a stunning shot of herself from the shoot posing in a red Mugler bathing suit as she tagged Patrick and thanked him “for being the most supportive husband ” during the experience in a caption written over the pic.
Brittany also praised her team for helping her make her SI debut possible. She thanked tan artist Isabel Alysa “for flying in to tan me before I head off to Belize,” where the shoot took place, fitness trainer Chels. B “for keeping me grinding in the gym,” and Caroline Potter “for being my twin sidekick.”
The mom of two went on to describe her shoot experience as “nothing short of amazing” in the caption as she gave thanks to the SI shoot and styling team, calling them, “ALL AMAZING PEOPLE.”
On Thursday, Brittany made her SI debut as a 2024 Rookie in a hot Baywatch-themed swimsuit shoot, photographed by Derek Kettela. The full spread has not yet been revealed yet, as it will be featured in the 60th anniversary issue, published in May, however SI has posted behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot and a number of stylish shots of Brittany in a red cut-out swimsuit on their Instagram page this week. Following the announcement on Thursday, Brittany spoke about rising above haters in an empowering post as she shared a photo from her sizzling shoot on her Instagram Story.
Speaking to her 1.8 million followers, she wrote, “I’m here to tell you, people will dislike you, people will love you. Don’t let any of that define you.”
“KEEP SHINING and being YOU,” Brittany concluded her message, adding some star emojis. Brittany’s SI shoot comes ahead of the Chiefs match against the San Francisco 49ers at the Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas on Sunday. Speaking further about the experience, Brittany shared she “never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen” as she spoke of being selected to model for SI in an interview.
“I’m so thankful and honored and so excited to be here with this team,” she told SI Swim. “I want women to feel empowered to always be yourself, love yourself and feel confident in whatever you do, and I think SI Swimsuit does, too,” Brittany added. The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will face off in Super Bowl LVIII, airing on CBS on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
