Brittany Mahomes left nothing on the table when celebrating her husband’s dramatic overtime Super Bowl victory with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The quarterback’s wife was seen taking in the action at Allegiant Stadium as Patrick Mahomes guided the Chiefs to a 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers – and it is fair to say Brittany got wild at the afterparty
Macole Hardman’s overtime touchdown sealed back-to-back Super Bowl wins for the Chiefs, becoming the first team since the New England Patriots in 2003 and 2004 to retain the NFL championship. With Taylor Swift making it to watch her boyfriend in action in Las Vegas, Brittany also made the trip with her daughter Sterling Skye, 2 and infant son, Bronze, 1.
But after the game, the vibe turned to adults-only as they celebrated their triumph into the early hours. And it seems that their partying took its toll on the mother-of-two, 29, as she took to social media to document just how bad she was feeling. In one image, Brittany can be seen standing up while hooked to an IV drip from a first-person perspective, and she thanked her close friend Sammie Jo Herrington for keeping her hydrated.
“Saving me always @sammiejohennington @geni3v”, she wrote to her 1.9 million followers, adding a cry-laugh emoji to highlight her apparent shame.
Tension in the Mahomes family
It comes just days after it emerged there was tension between Brittany and Patrick’s brother Jackson. Reports say Brittany glared at Jackson for his loud behavior before the Super Bowl after he tried to hype up a group of Chiefs fans that included several of his family members as they rode the elevator from the suite down to the field to celebrate, but they did not share his enthusiasm in the crowded space.
“How you feeling, Red?” he shouted in the crowded elevator. His mom, Randi, was the only one to join in, while Brittany seemed to give him a glare of disapproval while holding her son. But nothing could bring down Patrick’s spirit after leading his side to a third Super Bowl success, and with a six-month gap until the 2024 season, Brittany can rest up knowing 2024 may offer the chance to do it all over again.
