Brittany Mahomes loves her man just the way he is.
Husband Patrick’s dad bod went super viral after footage showed him shirtless celebrating Kansas City’s win against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game last season.
Thanks to Brittany, we also know another of the 6ft 2in, 225lb star’s guilty pleasures – miniature chocolate-dipped ice cream cones. “Anyone else eat 10 of these a night?” Brittany asked on Instagram as she shared picture of one of the cones next to Mahomes’ face. “Because he does,” she added.
Mahomes’ frame is living proof that body type matters little when it comes to elite-level sporting excellence. He’s unarguably the best player in the NFL today and already one of the greatest to ever do it at the tender age of 28. With three Super Bowl rings, Mahomes is slowly chasing down NFL GOAT Tom Brady’s haul of seven, but knows if he’ll have to change his body if he wants to play well into his 40s like TB12.
“Tom’s skewed people’s brains on how hard that is to do because of how well he took care of his body,” Mahomes said. “So I’m about to make sure that I get rid of this dad bod if I want to play to 45.”
But for all the dad bod comments, Mahomes insists he does actually have a six pack – somewhere underneath there. “I have a six pack, it’s just under the dad bod,” he said before beating the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. “If you feel—there might be some skin there, but then underneath that, the six pack is there. You just gotta get real close and squint a little bit. I think you’ll see it.”
While the QB’s eating habits leave a lot to be desired, there’s no denying his worth ethic. Weeks after securing his third Lombardi Trophy, Mahomes was spotted working out with new Kansas City wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown. They went through several conditioning drills together with health, performance and player development coach, Bobby Stroupe, and shared images of the workout online. Mahomes and the Chiefs are clearly leaving no stone unturned ahead of their bid for an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat next season.
