Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles 21-17 on Monday night. The clash saw the Kelce brothers Travis and Jason go head-to-head in what was a repeat of the 2023 Super Bowl, with Jason finally managing to get his first ever career victory over the Chiefs.
Travis was bitterly disappointed after the game and was very self-critical when analyzing his performance. The tight end emphasized that his red zone fumble was key in turning the tide of the game in the Eagles’ favor, and insisted during his post-match interview that his errors were mostly responsible for his team’s loss.
He wasn’t the only one on the night to fumble a catch, though. During the latter stages of the fourth quarter, wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling crucially dropped a 51-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes which, had he caught, would have likely changed the outcome of the game.
Swift’s message to Travis after Chiefs defeat
It was evident that Kelce was bitterly disappointed after the game and to make matters worse, the Chiefs star will be away from his dearly beloved Taylor Swift for the foreseeable future as she continues her Eras Tour in South America. Having said that, the two are in constant contact and have even been sending subtle messages back and forth to each other in public. In Swift’s latest display of love for her new boyfriend, she sent him a reassuring message of support after the Chief’s loss.

During her Brazil concert, as the singer was performing her song “So It Goes”, she looked down the camera and winked. The crowd went wild and many suspected that the gesture was meant for Travis, who likely needed a pick-me-up after his team’s narrow defeat. Despite expectation, Taylor’s parents didn’t accompany Donna and Ed Kelce during the game. It’s now been reported that they will meet for the first time after Taylor finishes her Brazil shows.
