Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales, have recently made a significant decision to revamp their staff in a comprehensive royal overhaul.

This move comes as Catherine, the Princess of Wales, is preparing to return to public life with her health showing marked improvement.

In a major step forward, the couple has appointed Sir David John Lewis, a distinguished individual knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2021, as a trustee for their Royal Foundation.

This appointment, reported by GB News, is the first substantial change made in anticipation of Kate’s return to her royal duties.

Archie, who is now 5 years old, was born on May 6, 2019, and his birth was officially registered 11 days later. According to the Mirror, a recent report indicates that an amendment was made to this record on June 5, when the Duchess of Sussex made a royal change.

This adjustment involved removing “Rachel Meghan” from Archie’s birth certificate, replacing it with “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex.”

This change reportedly occurred during the early stages of the growing rift between Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William.

Insiders have suggested that the name change aligns with royal protocol, mirroring the birth certificates of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children, which also list their mother as “Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales.”

Sir David, who previously served as the boss of Tesco, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He will collaborate closely with Prince William and Kate on their various charitable initiatives.

These include campaigns focused on critical issues such as homelessness, addiction, and Kate Middleton’s passion project, Early Years development work.

This newly created trustee position is particularly notable because it involves overseeing dozens of staff members and is considered revolutionary.

Unlike previous roles, the holder of this position will not be subordinate to the Private Secretaries, giving Sir David a unique level of authority and responsibility within the Royal Foundation.

This decision by the royal couple comes in the wake of an earlier decision this year to halt their search for a new CEO for the Royal Household.

A Palace spokesperson provided insights to Richard Eden, stating, “With everything going on, the Royal Household’s focus is on the Princess’s recovery, so no appointment has been made.”

This highlights the prioritization of Kate’s health and well-being as she prepares to resume her public engagements.

Amid these significant changes, there has been widespread speculation regarding Princess Kate’s potential appearance at the upcoming Wimbledon tennis tournament.

The Palace has yet to confirm whether she will attend this prestigious event, leaving royal watchers eagerly awaiting her possible return to one of her favorite public pastimes.

This major staff overhaul not only signifies a strategic move by Prince William and Kate Middleton but also underscores their commitment to their charitable work and public duties.

As they prepare for Kate’s gradual return to the public eye, the appointment of Sir David John Lewis as a trustee represents a new chapter in their efforts to make a meaningful impact through the Royal Foundation.
