Reese had shared a supportive note and drawing from a fan on her Instagram Story. The note expressed the fan’s desire for Reese to return to the games and voiced their status as her biggest fan. Reese, in response, appreciated the gesture, stating, “I love my neighbors.” The reason for Reese’s absence from the lineup remains undisclosed by LSU coach Kim Mulkey, who has resisted addressing the situation directly with reporters. Despite the controversy, Reese began the season strongly, averaging a double-double with 17 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
