Travis Kelce praises Taylor Swift for ‘powering through’ torrential rain at Eras Tour shows in Miami

Rain, he wanted it comfortable, she wanted that pain.

Travis Kelce praised his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, for braving the torrential rain during her outdoor Eras Tour shows at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami over the weekend.

“Shout-out to Tay Tay for powering through a few rain shows there,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, said in Wednesday’s episode of his “New Heights” podcast.

Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, who attended Swift’s Miami concert on Friday, recalled how the downpour made the night even more electric.

“This Miami show was incredible … the rain and everything,” Jason raved. “Dude, it was, like, on another level. I texted you halfway through it like, ‘This rain, Tay is killing it.’”

The retired NFL player, 36, said the crowd “could have f–king erupted” when Swift, 34, came out in her new outfit in the rain during the “Reputation” portion of her three-plus-hour performance.

“The amount of energy was insane. It was so exciting,” he added.

Travis admitted he had “all the FOMO [fear of missing out] in the world” after being unable to attend the concert with his family due to his Kansas City Chiefs game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

“The Miami stadium was just on another level, and, man, I wish I was there,” he said.

Jason attended the show with his mom, Donna Kelce, as well as his wife, Kylie Kelce, and their daughters Wyatt, 5, and Elliotte, 3. Their youngest daughter, 1-year-old Bennett, was not there.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center faced backlash last week after a photo appeared to show him sleeping at the concert.

However, Jason denied the assumption, telling his brother Wednesday, “Travis, you know I didn’t take a nap. I did not take a nap.”

Jason explained that he had closed his eyes to feel the music and that there is even proof in the viral photo that he was wide awake.

“My hand is hovering. You can’t sleep with your hand hovering above your knee. It’s impossible,” he argued. “I’m not Major Payne. I can’t sleep with my eyes open, much less with my hand hovering above my knee. I was slapping my knee.”

The concert marked the first time Jason’s kids and mom attended Swift’s Eras Tour, which kicked off in March 2023 and concludes in December.
