Chiefs Star Chris Jones Splits From Longtime Girlfriend Amid Cheating Allegations
Kansas City Chiefs star Chris Jones’ girlfriend of nearly a decade, Sheawna Weathersby, has confirmed their breakup, claiming his alleged infidelity led to their split.
Weathersby, who had been in a relationship with the three-time Super Bowl-winning defensive tackle for nine years, was frequently seen alongside Taylor Swift at Chiefs games. However, she revealed that she and Jones parted ways months ago due to his involvement with another woman.
The Mystery Woman
Speculation about their breakup began earlier this week when Jones shared — and quickly deleted — a loved-up photo with a mystery woman identified only as Giselle on his Instagram story.
Giselle also posted a picture of herself and Jones enjoying what appeared to be a romantic dinner before removing the post. Both Jones and Giselle have since deactivated their Instagram accounts, further fueling speculation.
Sheawna Speaks Out
Amid growing rumors, Weathersby confirmed the breakup in an Instagram story on Thursday, stating:
“I’m choosing to focus on the positive as I close this chapter on a 9-year relationship. Unfortunately, Chris’ infidelity with the woman he’s recently been pictured with led to my decision to end our relationship months ago.”
She also alleged that the woman in question has a history of harassment, stalking, and disrespect toward her, even forcing her to change her phone number.
“I’m proud to say I chose to prioritize my own well-being and healing journey. As I embark on this new chapter, I’m excited for the opportunities and growth that await me. I trust that God will transform the pain into something beautiful.”
Chris Jones Dropped Hints
Jones had already hinted at his single status earlier this year. In January, he posted a meme on X (formerly Twitter) that read: “I’m like 106% single.” When a fan responded, insisting he wasn’t, Jones bluntly replied: “I am.”
More recently, he shared a cryptic post stating, “It’s okay to disappear to find yourself again,” captioning it with a snake emoji and the word “Sincerely.”
Ties to Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift
Before their split, Jones and Weathersby were close to Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Travis and Taylor even sent Jones and Sheawna surprise Christmas gifts last year, including a rare Louis Vuitton 200 bottle of champagne and other luxury items.
Weathersby had previously formed a close friendship with Swift, frequently posting pictures with her at Chiefs games. She shared Instagram posts with Swift on November 29, when the Chiefs played the Las Vegas Raiders, and again on October 8, during a game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Now, with Jones moving on and Sheawna publicly confirming the breakup, her friendship with Swift remains uncertain.
