A$AP Rocky got a laugh out of the fact he sent the Nike-endorsed Kai Cenat gifts from his PUMA collaboration for Christmas – resulting in Kai unable to wear any of it.
During a recent stream, Cenat was elated to find out a package he’d received was from the Harlem rapper – only to be quickly deflated upon learning what it was he’d sent.
“Damn A$AP, I’m Nike! N-gga I can’t have no fucking Puma!” Kai yelled. “Come on, damn man! A$AP I can’t do this! Shout out A$AP though.”
Sharing the clip to social media, one fan wrote, “Kai getting excited that rocky sent him gifts. Only to find out that he sent him puma stuff that he cant wear because hes signed to Nike [laughing emojis] Rocky just a troll.”
Seemingly confirming that he’d trolled the popular streamer, Rocky retweeted the post with a laughing emoji.
In other news, A$AP Rocky is getting ready to appear on the silver screen again — this time as the star of a Spike Lee joint.
Lee sat down with Deadline for an interview earlier this month, where he talked about his upcoming film Highest 2 Lowest, a “reinterpretation” of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 High and Low.
The film will feature Denzel Washington in his fifth pairing with the director. It will also feature Ice Spice in what will be her acting debut.
But Rocky, Lee told the interviewer, has the “main role” in the film.
The film will be distributed via a partnership between A24 and Apple Original Films. The former company will put the movie in theaters before its appearance on Apple TV+.
he 1963 Japanese crime film was based on the Ed McBain novel King’s Ransom, which tells the story of a businessman’s ruin following a ransom payment to kidnappers.
During a lecture this past October, Lee said that the movie will be released in “summertime” of 2025.
