Angel Reese is doing a great job adjusting to her new surroundings in the WNBA. The brand new Chicago Sky forward has two big events coming up: her first preseason game and her 22nd birthday, and according to a message from her on social media, she is already preparing for both celebrations.
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for the player: from her emotional last game with the LSU Tigers to the 2024 Draft, where she was selected seventh overall by the Sky. However, the thrills do not stop and now, her upcoming big events will take place just a few days apart. In the first instance, on Saturday, May 4, she will make her official debut with the Sky, when they visit the Target Center to face the Minnesota Lynx in their first preseason game.

Chi-Town Barbie’s birthday
A couple of days later, Reese will have a new reason to celebrate. On Monday the 6th, she will turn 22, and the forward does not hide her enthusiasm. In a post on her X, formerly Twitter, account, the player teased her fans: “I can’t believe I’m turning 22 on Monday, but wait until you’ll see the BIG SURPRISE! ahahaaaa, so excited.”
The displays of affection from her followers were immediate, all of them wishing her a happy birthday in advance. A few of her also congratulated her on her upcoming debut, saying they were looking forward to seeing her on the court with her new team.
The week has been intense for Reese due to the start of training this weekend. Despite a minor setback on the first day of practice, the forward has been able to adapt to the team’s rhythm, and surely she will be ready for her first games.
