Her bubble certainly hasn’t burst yet.
Ariana Grande returned to her Givenchy roots at the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet, arriving to the awards show in a 1966 haute couture gown designed by Hubert de Givenchy himself.
The “Wicked” actress, 31, went with a strapless pale yellow silk style that features a hand-beaded bodice from the era where Audrey Hepburn served as a muse for the iconic designer.
Grande finished the look with white opera-length gloves and went with delicate jewels and wore her hair in a very Hepburn-esque ponytail style with side-swept bangs.
There was of course a “Wizard of Oz” reference in the star’s red carpet look, too, with Grande telling Variety that the color was of course a nod to “follow the yellow brick road.” She and co-star Cynthia Erivo have played their parts perfectly at premieres around the world in pink and green looks non-stop.
This is somewhat of a homecoming for Grande, who was named the face of Givenchy in 2019. Former Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton is set to take the helm of the French fashion house in March — and perhaps this is an indication they’re looking to re-boot their partnership with the pop star.
Hepburn has long been a style reference for Grande as well, who was inspired by the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” star for her Vera Wang-designed wedding dress and bow-trimmed veil when she married Dalton Gomez in 2021.
Grande accepted the rising star award at the Palm Springs Film Festival in California on Friday in a Louis Vuitton gown and side-swept bangs that also sparked Hepburn comparisons, joking in her acceptance speech about her youthful looks.
“I’ve been performing since I was a child, so I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words ‘rising star’ again, so I wanted to start by thanking my two friends: Botox and Juvederm,” she quipped.
Meanwhile, Erivo, who plays Elphaba to her Glinda in the blockbuster musical movie, played the Wicked Witch in a black Louis Vuitton gown embellished with silver beading and a dramatic peplum.
The pair have been chided during their press tour for the movie in which they were joined at the hip and often seen weeping over their experience with the characters, though Grande got in on the joke, calling herself “insufferable.”
Regardless of their interviews, the pair have hit high notes with their premiere outfits from London to Mexico City, Los Angeles and NYC, referencing parts of the movie, past looks from others who have played their characters and more.
It’s a big night for both actresses, who are both nominated in the movie categories, with Grande scoring for her first-ever nod in the supporting category and Erivo up for the lead role.
“Wicked” itself is nominated for best picture, musical or comedy, and in the cinematic and box office achievement categories.
It’ll be a whirlwind awards season for the “Wicked” cast — who are expected to also nab Oscar nominations — before they gear up to promote the second part of the “Wizard of Oz” prequel, which hits theaters Nov. 2025.
