Ariana Grande has left fans ecstatic after confirming that she will be releasing brand new music that serves as ‘an attachment’ to her album, Eternal Sunshine.
The hitmaker, 31, has spent the past few months throwing all her time and energy into Golden Globe-winning movie Wicked.
However, when asked if she was working on new music during a red carpet interview on Sunday night – the star gave an update that has left music lovers bursting with excitement for what she has in store.
The singer left fans around the world exclaiming, ‘we won,’ when she told Access Hollywood: ‘[New music] is not something that I’m thinking about right now but there is something I made last year that will come out eventually.’
Sharing further details about the project, she continued: ‘It’s an attachment of Eternal Sunshine so that does exist. And that will be coming out at some point. But I’m not in the studio at the moment.’
Many of the 7 Rings singer’s fans took this as a sign the the musician would be releasing a deluxe version of her seventh studio album, which dropped back in March 2024.
One fan declared, ‘ARIANA GRANDE CONFIRMS ETERNAL SUNSHINE DELUXE,’ leading many others to share their excitement.
‘F**k the Golden Globes, we’re getting deluxe, we won girls and gays,’ one fan wrote, while another stated: ‘OMG WE WONNNNN.’
One fan added: ‘She can’t even bring herself to say the word deluxe I’m crying [crying emoji].’
‘We lost and won at the same time,’ another fan commented, while one music lover stated: ‘I NEED IT NOW.’
Another wrote: ‘”That’ll coming out at some point” no ma we need the release date right now.’
Many fans declared their need for the project to be released sooner rather than later as one commented: ‘Just give us the deluxe already [crying emoji].’
‘We need a date. So I can save some money,’ one fan noted, while another added: ‘The way she needs to clarify… Arianators do not joke around LMAOO’.
Others began to share theories about the new project as one mused: ‘I think she is going to release something in March for the one-year anniversary of ES maybe.’
One fan stated: ‘I think it’s a spin-off album usually some artist will do that like Taylor (Taylor versions with extra songs) they’re considered a side album to me because it has been released already for years and adding new songs and stuff.
While one follower even speculated about the potential title, tweeting: ‘SPOTLESS MIND 25.04 OMG.’
Eternal Sunshine’s title was derived from the sci-fi romantic drama film Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004) starring Jim Carey and Kate Winslet.
Fans sent the project to the top of the Billboard 200 chart back in March, giving the singer–songwriter her sixth album to reach the coveted number one spot in the US.
Described as pop and R&B with dance music influences such as house and synth-pop throughout, Eternal Sunshine debuted with 227,000 equivalent album units in the US in the week ending with March 14, according to Luminate, a provider of music and entertainment data.
The album consists of 13 tracks, while an extended edition was soon released which had four additional songs, including a remixed version of Supernatural with Australian singer Troye Sivan and a remix of Yes, And? with Mariah Carey.
The first version of Yes, And? that is featured on the original release served as the lead single, which also shot to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart after premiering January 12.
Sunday night saw Ariana and her fellow Wicked co-stars celebrating a big win for their movie after it walked away with the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement gong.
The singer’s look on the night was a call back to Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn as she channeled the late Breakfast At Tiffany’s star in a pale, golden yellow vintage Givenchy dress designed by Hubert de Givenchy.
The Audrey-inspired, empire-waist frock was created by Hubert in 1966, when the Roman Holiday siren served as his muse.
The long, A-line design boasted silk fabric and a hand-beaded, strapless bodice that clung to the singer’s slender frame.
Ariana earned her first Golden Globe nod in the Best Supporting Actress – Musical or Comedy category for her role as Glinda in Wicked, but lost to Zoe Saldana, who won for her work in Emilia Perez.
Curiously missing from the Beverly Hills awards show was the music artist’s boyfriend and Wicked co-star Ethan Slater.
