Brittany Mahomes is unbothered by chatter about her manners at Sunday’s AFC Championship game.  The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared a cryptic quote on her Instagram Story on Wednesday after fans called her out for the way she approached a stadium employee while exiting M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, where Kansas City beat the Ravens, 17-10, to punch their ticket to Super Bowl 2024.

“I take rumors as a compliment,” the quote read. “The fact that you’re bringing my name onto tables I don’t sit at shows your obsession. Stay bothered.”  Brittany did not share further context, but her post came amid online chatter that she was rude to the stadium employee, which was captured on video and posted to TikTok by CBS.

Brittany can be seen in the video walking with Mahomes before turning to the stadium employee and asking, “Where do we go from here?” as she spun her finger in a circle.  Some fans thought the gesture was rude, with one fan writing, “Mahomes wife needs to get off her high horse.”  Another added, “It’s the where do we go from here with the finger twirl for me.”

Brittany was also walking with her husband’s younger brother, Jackson Mahomes — who appeared to take a step back from social media after his May 2023 arrest for aggravated sexual battery.  The 23-year-old influencer was accused of assault and forcibly kissing a woman against her will at a restaurant in Kansas City on Feb. 25, 2023.

Jackson was later charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and an additional count of misdemeanor battery stemming from the incident.  At the time, Jackson’s attorney, Brandan Davies, said his client “has done nothing wrong.”  Jackson appeared in court in January, according to The Associated Press, which reported that the three felony charges were dropped.

The fourth charge for misdemeanor battery, which Jackson pleaded not guilty to, still remains  Mahomes’ entire family attended the AFC Championship game last Sunday.  The Mahomes family is expected to be in attendance for the big game, which will take place on Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
