Patrick Mahomes had some fun at his own expense in the wake of a video clip of him without a shirt in the locker room after the Kansas City Chiefs’ 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game. The video clipped from Inside the NFL shows Mahomes’ body still in good shape, but not necessarily what you would expect from the best quarterback in the NFL in the prime of his career.

Mahomes got in on the fun by pointing out he’s got two kids with his wife, Brittany, and called it #DadBodSZN.

Not only does Mahomes have kids, he has young kids, His daughter, Sterling Skye, is 2½ years old and son, Bronze, turned one on Nov. 28. Granted, Mahomes’ family is in a good financial position to have people watch the kids when Patrick and Brittany are at work. But it’s still probably a hassle to take time to hit the gym full bore every single day with two young children.
It doesn’t seem like the lack of rock-hard abs is doing anything to hinder Mahomes’ performance. He’s thrown for 718 yards and four touchdowns with a completion percentage just under 68.0 in three playoff games. The Chiefs advanced to their fourth Super Bowl in the past five seasons with Sunday’s victory over the Ravens. They will look to win their third Lombardi Trophy with Mahomes on Feb. 11 when they take on the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of Super Bowl 54.
