David Hasselhoff’s Ex-Wife, Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, Dead at 62 in Apparent Suicide

Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, actress and ex-wife of Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, has reportedly died by suicide at the age of 62.

Bach-Hasselhoff was found dead at her $2 million Hollywood Hills home on Wednesday night from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities confirmed that no suicide note was found at the residence, located near Universal Studios. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Bach-Hasselhoff was married to David Hasselhoff, 72, from 1989 until 2006, when he filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Their split was contentious, involving allegations of domestic abuse and ongoing legal battles over spousal support, which lasted until 2017.

The former couple shared two daughters, 32-year-old Hayley and 34-year-old Taylor. Bach-Hasselhoff is also survived by her granddaughter, London.

A representative for Hasselhoff released a statement to DailyMail.com:
“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

Discovery and Investigation

According to reports, Bach-Hasselhoff’s family became concerned when they hadn’t heard from her for several days. Authorities discovered her remains after paramedics were called to her home around 10 p.m. on Wednesday following a report of an unconscious woman.

Just hours before her death, she had left a comment on Hayley’s Instagram post.

Acting Career

Bach-Hasselhoff made her film debut in Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish (1983) and later appeared on Knight Rider, where she met David Hasselhoff. In 1989, she landed a role on Baywatch, playing café owner Kaye Morgan. Her other TV credits include The Young and the Restless, The Fall Guy, and Sirens.

She remained active on social media, frequently sharing photos with her family. Her final Instagram post on December 31, 2024, reflected on the new year and her love for her granddaughter:
“Happy New Year, everyone! As we step into 2025, my heart is full of gratitude, especially for my precious grandbaby, London. Watching her grow and seeing her smile light up my world is truly the greatest blessing. My wish for all of you this year is health, happiness, and an abundance of love.”

Legal Battles and Personal Struggles

Following their divorce in 2006, David Hasselhoff initially paid Bach-Hasselhoff up to $21,000 per month in alimony. However, in 2017, the amount was reduced to $5,000 after Hasselhoff argued his income had declined. By that time, he had reportedly paid over $2.5 million in spousal support.

In 2007, a widely publicized video of Hasselhoff drunkenly eating a burger—filmed by one of his daughters—led to his temporary loss of visitation rights. The actor later admitted to an alcohol relapse but denied allegations of abuse. His visitation rights were restored after two weeks.

In 2018, Hasselhoff married model Hayley Roberts.

Bach-Hasselhoff had largely stepped away from acting in recent years but appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011.

Her sudden death remains under investigation.
