Emma Watson reveals her reason for refusing to film awkward scene with Channing Tatum in … See more

Emma Watson refused to shoot a random scene with a major Hollywood star due to one specific reason.

Watson is, of course, best known for starring as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, though she has featured in a lot of other movies over the years.

Perhaps one of Watson’s less know films is 2013’s disaster comedy This Is The End – a film that stars the likes of Seth Rogen, James Franco and Jonah Hill.

The movie also features the likes of Kevin Hart, Channing Tatum, Michael Cera and Paul Rudd – all playing exaggerated versions of themselves.

Following the release of This Is The End over a decade ago now, the rumor mill went into overdrive over reports Watson walked off set due to a scene that she felt went too far.

The scene in question saw Danny Mcbride holding Tatum on a leash, with the latter wearing a full-body leather suit while doing the scene.

While the scene made the final cut, Watson refused to appear in it.

Rogen told GQ: “I mean, I don’t look back on that and think: ‘How dare she do that?’ You know? I think sometimes when you read something, when it comes to life, it doesn’t seem to be what you thought it was.

“But it was not some terrible ending to our relationship. She came back the next day to say goodbye. She helped promote the film.

“No hard feelings and I couldn’t be happier with how the film turned out in the end. She was probably right. It was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it.”

Following the interview, Rogan was forced to take to Instagram to deny speculation Watson walked off set following the request for her to not be involved with the scene.

“I want to correct a story that has emerged from a recent interview I gave. It misrepresents what actually happened. Emma Watson did not ‘storm off the set’ and it’s sh***y that the perception is that she did,” the actor wrote.

“The scene was not what was originally scripted, it was getting improvised, changed drastically and was not what she agreed to. The narrative that she was in some way uncool or unprofessional is complete bull***t. I for sure should have communicated better and because I didn’t, she was put in an uncomfortable position.

“It was overall a sh***y situation and it must have been hard for her to say something and I’m very happy and impressed that she did.”
