Fox Sports analyst Erin Andrews is entering an interesting phase of her life at 46, having been a staple at Fox since joining the company in 2012. After working her fourth Super Bowl, Super Bowl LIX, her contract expired, prompting her to contemplate her post-retirement plans.

However, she hasn’t been navigating this transition alone. Fellow Fox Sports host Charissa Thompson’s contract also expired, and the two currently co-host the popular “Calm Down” podcast together.

In the latest episode of the podcast, Andrews shared a concerning personal update, revealing that she’s been dealing with a painful pre-skin cancer issue on her upper lip.

During the show, Andrews explained, “It is so crusty and it really hurts,” to which Thompson quickly responded, “Don’t touch that!” She added, “For those of you that are new, Erin’s working through some… an issue on her upper lip, but it’s not what you think it is,” Thompson clarified.

“It’s a pre-skin cancer situation. I did a cream for five days on it,” Andrews said. “I went for the old — ‘Oh it’s a great idea until you get in the car’ skin check — the whole shebang… I wanted to pass out in the middle of it because I’m so afraid they’re going to find something.”

The longtime reporter revealed that she will have more information on her condition during the next episode of “Calm Down”, which is set to air on March 6. Andrews shared that she will provide further details on her pre-skin cancer issue and the next steps moving forward. In addition to focusing on her health, she is also considering her career options as she looks ahead to the future of her sports media career.
