Jason Kelce reveals how Jimmy Kimmel has helped him prepare for new late-night talk show

Jason Kelce revealed how longtime late-night host Jimmy Kimmel helped prepare him for his own upcoming talk show after appearing as a guest on the presenter’s self-eponymous show last Thursday.

‘They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce’ will premiere on January 3 and run for five straight Friday nights through February 1, starting at 1am, with the final slated episodes starting a half hour later on ESPN.

Kelce revealed the news of his upcoming show on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, and the former center said he has always been a fan of late-night talk shows.

Nearly a week after he broke the news, Kelce expanded on his upcoming gig on ‘New Heights’ with his younger brother Travis Kelce.

‘It was absurd, it was hilarious. Jimmy was the man, offered tons of advice,’ Kelce said.

‘To be able to go on his show and promote my show that’s coming out but also to just go there and talk to him, get all the ins and outs about how to run a late night show, how you talk into the camera, how you choose topics, how you prepare, it was honestly a very beneficial trip to take.’

Travis chimed in and said he got to meet Kimmel over the summer and the ABC host is ‘one of the best in the business for a reason.’

There is no word whether Travis or his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, will appear as a guests on the show.

Jason also said his favorite late-night host is Conan O’Brien. However, he likes any of those late-night shows.

As a podcast host and ESPN NFL analyst, Kelce has shown his chops in front of the camera and microphone.

His late-night show will be his first solo project in media and it will coincide with the end of the NFL’s regular season and lead all the way to Super Bowl week.
