Jason Kelce revealed why he did not join his brother Travis on the field after the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl in Las Vegas on Sunday.  After a hair-raising 25-22 overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers, family and friends crowded the field as the Chiefs were crowned champions for the second straight year. However, the older Kelce brother admitted that he wanted to let Travis have his moments.

‘The whole family was down there. Mom, dad, Taylor [Swift],’ Jason said on the New Heights podcast. ‘I didn’t get to see you out on the field.’  ‘I was trying to let you have your moments and everything like that. There’s cameras all over the place and it feels a little odd trying to fit in.’  ‘I love you big guy, you know you wouldn’t have taken away from me,’ Travis said in response.

Although he did not celebrate on the field at Allegiant Stadium, Jason did not hold back on enjoying the victory in Las Vegas. During the Chiefs’ after-party, the Eagles star was donning a Mexican wrestling mask that matched his Kansas City overall.

At the beginning of the program, Jason acknowledged the amount of fun that he had in Sin City.  ‘I don’t know if you can tell, but my voice is not doing so hot,’ he said. ‘A week in Vegas, yelling, playing craps and then your brother wins the Super Bowl, it takes it out of you a little bit. The Chiefs’ iconic Super Bowl victory.’

After explaining why he did not take the field postgame, Jason coughed badly which led Travis to ask ‘What the f*** you got going on?’  Jason responded by reiterating the type of environment the Las Vegas presents and added emphasis to the amount of cigarette smoking in casinos.  ‘Dude, Vegas man. I’ve been surrounded by cigarette smoke and yelling,’ Jason said. ‘I’m not smoking nothing but all these casinos, turns out you gotta let smoking by. Because all of the people that are impulsive enough to still smoke cigarettes all the time.’
