Jason Kelce Stands By His Divisive Bathing Habits: ‘I Haven’t Washed My Hair in Like Months

Jason Kelce is standing by his beliefs, and that includes what he sees as normal bathing habits.

After sparking debate on social media over the weekend, his brother, Travis Kelce, questioned Jason’s thoughts on the June 5 episode of their podcast, New Heights, but the older Kelce brother had no intention of backing down.

“We gotta talk about it, man,” Travis began, calling Jason’s time spent responding to fans’ comments about his personal cleanliness a “rant” that started trouble.

It began when one person wrote on X, “Jason Kelce looks like he doesn’t wash his legs or feet,” with Jason responding, “What kind of weirdo washes their feet….”

Despite other fans jumping in to talk about the importance of washing your feet, Jason was adamant that he was still just as healthy, claiming, “Hot spots are all that is necessary [to wash] and actually leads to cleaner healthier skin.”

In the new episode of New Heights, Travis questioned Jason’s statements, saying that his claims were “not really” correct. Reacting strongly, Jason said, “It’s been proven. People who wash their entire bodies with soap have been proven to have unhealthier skin.”

“Where is this stat?” asked Travis. Taking it a step further, Jason said, “I haven’t washed my hair in like months! I can’t even tell you the last time I washed my hair,” causing Travis to break out in laughter.

“It’s unnecessary. It’s completely unnecessary. And I don’t stink!” Jason added.

According to Harvard Health Publishing, washing too much can lead to some issues, such as dry skin and a lack of the natural body bacteria that helps maintain your immune system, but there is no clear consensus on how much people should shower or clean themselves.

Fans were enthralled by the intense debate between Jason and the fans, with one commenting on YouTube, “I am pro feet and leg washing, but completely LOVE Jason’s arguments supporting his position. Just a brilliant social experiment to see how crazy people get about his opinions. hahahah.”

“It’s a must to see Jason getting a spa pedicure,” suggested another.

Despite the effort from both Travis and New Heights fans, it seems like Jason is determined to stick to his dependable—but slightly limited—washing habits.
