Patrick Mahomes Sr. Initially Arrested Days Before Super Bowl In Las Vegas
The father of star Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was indicted on a felony charge, listed as ādriving while intoxicatedā for a third or more time after he was arrested in February, which came eight days before the Super Bowl.
Mahomes was arrested in Tyler, Texas, in early February on a charge of DWI, his third DWI offense.
An arrest affidavit states that during the stop, the officer spotted an open 16 oz. beer can in the console of his car, and Mahomes Sr. even admitted to having āa few beersā at a bar.
During a field sobriety test, the arresting officer said they noticed evidence of intoxication.

Despite many blasting Mahomes Sr. for taking some shine away from his son as he headed to another Super Bowl, he still showed up and was seen on the field at Allegiant Stadium after his son led the Chiefs to a 25-22 overtime victory against the 49ers.
