SAD : WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair Diagnosed with Cancer for the Second Time

Published

on

Wrestling icon Ric Flair has confirmed that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer for the second time in three years. The 76-year-old legend, often known by his moniker “The Nature Boy,” shared the news publicly after initially denying it in an effort to maintain his privacy.

Flair stated that he will begin treatment next week, expressing both determination and gratitude for the outpouring of support he’s received from fans and peers in the wrestling community.

A Tough Battle for a Tough Legend

Flair has never shied away from challenges in or out of the ring. This latest health update adds to a long list of medical scares the wrestling great has endured. Back in 2017, Flair was placed in a medically induced coma following multiple organ failures — including kidney failure and congestive heart failure — largely attributed to years of alcohol abuse. At that time, doctors gave him a slim chance of survival, yet he pulled through with multiple surgeries and the installation of a pacemaker.

Despite that near-death experience, Flair made a triumphant return to public life, continuing to make appearances at events and staying active in the wrestling scene.

Still in the Spotlight

In 2022, Flair shocked the wrestling world when he stepped into the ring one more time for *“Ric Flair’s Last Match,”* teaming with Andrade El Idolo against Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. The event was a celebration of his decades-long career and served as a symbolic farewell to fans worldwide.

Throughout his time in WWE, WCW, NWA, and beyond, Flair became known not just for his flamboyant personality, signature “Woo!”, and championship runs—but also for his resilience and larger-than-life persona.

❤️ Support from the Wrestling Community

Following the announcement, tributes and well-wishes have poured in from fans, fellow wrestlers, and public figures alike. Flair, ever the showman and fighter, has responded with his trademark confidence and gratitude, assuring everyone that he’s ready to take on this new challenge.

  Looking Ahead

As Ric Flair prepares to begin treatment, fans can expect him to approach this battle with the same fire and flair that made him a legend. While this diagnosis is serious, the wrestling world knows one thing for sure
