The real reason Taylor Swift skipped Travis Kelce’s Chiefs game for a SECOND straight week

Taylor Swift was a no-show at Travis Kelce’s latest game as he doesn’t expect her to always attend, according to insiders who claim the singer is tired of the ‘misogynistic’ reports that she is responsible for his poor start to the season.

Swift, 34, was at the Arrowhead Stadium for the first two Kansas City Chiefs games, but she didn’t attend on Sunday, marking the second consecutive week following her absence at last weekend’s victory against the Falcons in Atlanta.

Kelce’s dismal opening games saw Swift come under fire, with critics claiming his relationship with the pop superstar and their partying during the offseason have impacted his performance on the field.

But insiders close to Swift have slammed the ‘absurd’ and ‘misogynistic’ speculation, and insisted to DailMail.com that she can be supportive without cheering the 34-year-old from the sidelines at every game.

‘It’s absolutely absurd and a misogynistic to speculate that Taylor’s attendance impacts Travis’ performance,’ the source said.

‘He loves her support but doesn’t expect her at every single game, just as she would not expect him at every Eras tour date. And fans don’t make a fuss when he’s not at every gig.’

They continued: ‘They have their own lives and own careers, and both are at the top of their game.

‘They can support each other without being physically present. TV exists after all.’

The Bad Blood singer was a mainstay at Kelce’s games last season as she celebrated the Chiefs’ victories alongside his mom Donna Kelce and teammate Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany.

She also took her celebrity girl squad to the Super Bowl final in February where she was pictured sharing a kiss with the NFL champ after his team defeated the San Francisco 49ers to lift the trophy.

But Kelce’s return to the pitch this season was met with mounting criticism, with former ESPN football analyst Todd McShay blasting the tight end for ‘partying all offseason.’

The sportsman appeared on stage at several of her Eras dates, danced with the singer in a box at the US Open, and has been busy with several endorsements and making his acting debut in new FX horror Grotesquerie.

The celebrity couple, who started dating last summer, also found themselves at the center of a media storm when a contract, supposedly drawn up by Kelce’s US PR company Full Scope and confirming September 28 as their date of separation, was circulated online.

‘Taylor and Travis spent September 28, the day of their so-called breakup, at her home in LA, living it up just as they planned,’ the source said. ‘They spent the day doing the exact opposite of breaking up.

‘People need to chill and drop this breakup nonsense, just like they should stop the endless speculation about marriage and engagement. One day it’s this rumor, the next it’s that, and they’re not even close to either.’

The document alleged that the announcement would be ‘gracious, respectful and stress mutual respect,’ with a statement sent to major media outlets with a press release to ensure ‘broad coverage.’

The document read: ‘Example: Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time.

‘They are both committed to their careers and personal growth. They remain friends and wish each other the best.’

A spokesman for Full Scope insisted that they were ‘entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorized by this agency.’

Kelce recorded his 917th career catch, breaking Tony Gonzalez’s franchise record, during Sunday’s game with NFL pundits declaring he was ‘back.’

Swift may have to miss more games this season as she hits the road again on October 18 for the North American leg of her Eras Tour which wraps in December.
