Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has revealed that he is not going to be spending Thanksgiving with Taylor Swift this year due to diary commitments. Kelce is expecting to be on his own for the big day later this week, but he is already getting offers now that this information is out there.
Discussing holiday plans on Wednesday’s episode of his podcast New Heights, the Kansas City Chiefs star said: “I’ll be feasting on KFC because I won’t have anybody here.” Brother Jason Kelce responded, “You don’t have anybody in there cooking turkey? What’s Kumar doing?” He is referring to Travis’ close friend Kumar Ferguson, who is a chef. It seems he has got his own plans though, as Travis responded: “I don’t know. He might be going back to hang out with his family.”
There is an offer on the table for Travis, which is probably just as well given it is from his brother. The Philadelphia Eagles star will be with his wife Kylie and their three daughters. “If you want to make a quick trip, you’re welcome at the house, man,” Jason told him. “We’ll have plenty of food.”
Why isn’t Kelce with Taylor Swift?
Fans will be wondering whether Taylor Swift is going to be keeping Kelce company on Thanksgiving, but her work is getting in the way. She has a show in Sao Paulo on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, so there are no dice there. This is something that the pair are okay with. “Everybody knows I’m a family guy,” Kelce told the Wall Street Journal. “Her team is her family. Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley.”
