Travis Kelce has revealed what it was like to see girlfriend Taylor Swift shown on the big screen at the Chiefs-Patriots game last Sunday, with the tight end taking a swipe at the ‘Brads and Chads’ who booed her. Swift was in attendance at Gillette Stadium to watch Kelce and the Chiefs win 27-17, and Kelce shared on his ‘New Heights’ podcast with his brother Jason that he tried to ‘keep it cool’ as the pop star was presented to a crowd of roughly 65,000 people.
‘I’ll say this, they showed Taylor at the game… you don’t see an entire home team fanbase go insane for someone wearing the opposite team’s colors,’ he said. ‘That just shows how amazing that girl is, they went absolutely insane when they showed Taylor on the screen, yes.
‘There might have been a few Brads and Chads who were booing, but for the most part everyone was f***ing screaming their tails off for her. I was trying to keep it cool, I was like, ‘don’t show your cards’. Kelce continued, ‘It was fun, man. Shoutout to the Patriots of New England. Taylor’s on record saying that stadium is one of the funnest that she’s played at, so for them to show her, that’s just them showing her some love, so shoutout to them for doing that.’
Swift previously addressed the ‘Brads and Chads’ herself in an interview with TIME after being named the magazine’s Person of the Year for 2023. ‘I’m just there to support Travis,’ she said. ‘I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much [on TV] and p****ng off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.’ The ‘Eras Tour’ performer was highly engrossed in Sunday’s game, at one point being seen screaming ‘f***’ after Kelce had dropped a would-be touchdown in the endzone.
She also appeared to say ‘I wanna see [the play] back,’ perhaps thinking that a pass interference call should’ve been made on the New England defense. Kelce finished the game with just five catches for 28 yards, but the Chiefs nonetheless won their ninth game of the season and his girlfriend Swift seemed to enjoy her day out in New England.

However, one megafan of the singer apparently had a rougher day, as an X user named Sara claimed she was ‘harrassed and audibly booed’ for wearing a jacket with the pop star on it to the stadium. Sara wrote, ‘This experience was extremely stressful and continued to escalate as the night went on. I was a very peaceful fan cheering for my team in the seat and clothes I paid for. I deserved to be there and I deserved to feel safe doing so.
‘I had men directly behind me right in my ear as well as many rows behind me in my section yelling that I was stupid for being a fan of Taylor and many other nasty things that I won’t even put on here for me and honestly Taylors sake. It was horrendous.’ Swift played three shows of her ‘Eras Tour’ at Gillette Stadium this past May.
