Travis Kelce’s Dad, Ed Kelce makes his thoughts clear on Taylor Swift and Kanye West’s feud

Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed, has savagely hit back at Kanye West after his latest song references his son’s relationship with global music icon, Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift and Kanye West (also known as Ye) have had a long-standing feud, ever since the rapper interrupted the music star’s acceptance speech at the Grammys in 2009.

He jumped on stage to give a speech on how he thought the award should have gone to Beyoncé. From there, things escalated after Ye referenced Tay in his song Famous, which she has vocally spoken about how it negatively impacted her life at the time, where she didn’t leave her house for a year. Ed’s son, football star Travis Kelce, began dating Taylor last year, after the hunk spoke about making a friendship bracelet with his ‘number on it’ to give to her at her sold-out Eras Tour.

Now, Kanye has reignited the feud by again mentioning Swift and this time her boyfriend too in his new song, Lifestyle. But Papa Kelce is not holding back.

Taking to Facebook, Ed, who is no stranger to calling people out online, simply wrote, “Mental illness on full display”, while sharing an article that wrote about the latest situation.

Lyrics in the song that features Lil Wayne include: “I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce”. But of the celebrity couple were quick to hit out at the controversial rapper for his wording.

While Ye has a devoted fan base, Tay has created herself an empire of Swifties, who has her back, and now that includes her beau’s dad, apparently.

The savage comment from the football star’s parent references West’s bipolar disorder diagnosis, which he received in 2018, with the rapper having previously addressed his mental health battles.

While Tay-Tay herself has not directly spoken out about the song lyrics, fans believe she strategically chose her outfit at the Eras Tour to send a message to him. They think the choice that night was to prove one point to Kim Kardashian’s former husband: that he seems to be obsessed with her.

Playing a sold-out show in Warsaw, Poland on the night of the release, The Tortured Poets Department singer wore a t-shirt during the Red era that simply said “I Bet You Think About Me”. Fans were loving it, stating that she got the last laugh.

Every time we think this feud is over, Kanye lights the flames again.

But Taylor still has Reputation (Taylor’s Version) to release, so maybe Ye should keep an eye out on her Vault tracks, because Miss Swift knows how to make her voice heard.
