Two Chiefs Players Were Recently Arrested On Drug Charges

The Kansas City Chiefs had an up-and-down year during the 2023 NFL season, with many believing the potential dynasty led by superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce might finally be over, as the team wasn’t as dominant as they are used to being.

However, the Chiefs eventually proved that they did enough in the regular season to get by and turned it on in the NFL playoffs when Mahomes and company tend to shine the brightest, as they took down the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and San Francisco 49ers in consecutive games

Kansas City was able to pull off the rarely-seen back-to-back Super Bowl titles, which officially made them a dynasty and in line to make NFL history next season as the first time to win three straight titles.

Even though the Chiefs defied the odds and became champions once again, the NFL offseason has been brutal for the defending champs, with several of their players getting in trouble off the field.

According to Around The NFL, offensive tackles Wanya Morris and Chukwuebuka Godrick were arrested this week for marijuana possession.

Although this kind of arrest isn’t seen much anymore, with marijuana becoming legal in a lot of states in this country, possession of the drug is illegal in Kansas, which is where they were arrested

Obviously, this isn’t a huge deal, considering the offense, yet it is still another offseason problem for the Chiefs, as the team can’t seem to stay out of the headlines for all the wrong reasons ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
