Tyreek Hill opens up on pregame arrest saying he has ‘no idea’ why he was handcuffed and hit by cops

Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill was the star of the first week of the NFL, both on and off the field. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver was arrested by police on Sunday morning, but was later released and became a crucial part of his team’s 20-17 victory over Jacksonville Jaguars at Hard Rock Stadium.

After he scored a touchdown, he celebrated in a unique way by mocking his arrest. After reaching the endzone to start his team’s comeback after being down 17-7, he took the opportunity to send a statement.

He celebrated by placing his hands behind his body while his teammate Jayden Waddle came from behind to imaginarily “handcuff” him. The crowd went crazy and it is safe to say that he was locked in enough to joke about the incident.

According to reports, Tyreek Hill was ordered to pull over after being cited for ‘reckless driving’ but the scary scene came later as he then appeared to be struck by an officer in a shocking video. After the game, he spoke about the matter.

“When I left home, I told my wife, ‘Babe, I’m going to go to work and get prepared for my day’,” he told CBS. “Little did I know, that was quite a surprise on the way, man. But do you know what? At the end of the day, I have a job to do, and my job is to come inside this stadium and be great.”

He also said he had “no idea” why he was hit and handcuffed, but he also admitted that this would be a learning experience for him as police and the Dolphins and the NFL are still investigating the matter.
