The 97th Academy Awards is finally here! Well, as all the eyes are on the star-studded mega ceremony, and from Ariana Grande to Selena Gomez, nearly every one of them has stunned their fans with their dazzling red carpet looks. However, amid this, Adam Sandler showed up in a gym outfit.
Adam Sandler may not have been nominated for the Oscars 2025, but that didn’t stop the Murder Mystery 2 actor from crashing Conan O’Brien’s opening monologue at the top of the event. Sandler roasted the host for dressing so casually for the big night.
As Adam Sandler showed up in shorts and a sweatshirt amid all the glitz and glam, the host, O’Brien, called him from the stage, “Adam, what are you wearing?” He said he is dressed like a guy playing video poker at 2 a.m.

During the conversation about his outfit with O’Brien, Sandler responded by saying that nobody even thought about what I was wearing until you brought it up.
“I don’t care about what I wear and what I don’t wear. My snazzy gym shorts and fluffy sweatshirt offend you so much that you had to mock me in front of my peers!”
However, following this, Sandler left the ceremony, and on the way out, he invited everyone in the room to a ‘game of five-on-basketball at Veteran Park tonight. It was a small prank.

This is not the first time Adam Sandler has shown up in casual clothes to a ceremony. In 2023, Sandler arrived in a sweatshirt on the red carpet for the premiere of Murder Mystery 2.
As soon as the pictures surfaced on the internet, fans couldn’t keep calm and flooded the comment section by saying, “Look, he been to like 48 of them; let him be comfy lol”
One wrote, “Does he even own a suit?”
“He probably played some basketball right before arrival ,” another wrote.
